Lettuce Wraps BonAppéDee Style
P.F. Chang’s infamous “Lettuces Wraps” are delicious, so I thought I should give it a try. This is my version of the original recipe which consists of less than 15 ingredients. Usually, I would purchase every ingredient to make all sauces. However, I brought a few ingredients to cut my time into half for a quick winter weekend snack. Buying store brought items is not always a bad idea. This way, you can always use the items for later. Also, you can enjoy a tasty snack with minutes to spare for dessert. Banana Spring Rolls please!

1st Food Tasting Event (Irie Bar & Grille)
I attended my very 1st FOOD tasting event, and boy was it a treat! The tasting was held at Irie Bar & Grille located at Woodmore Town Centre in Glenarden, MD. The establishment is not your average Caribbean restaurant--it provides a modern, upscale atmosphere which is very friendly and family oriented. This Caribbean infused with American soul restaurant, recently opened its doors December 2011. All the dishes were ah-maz-ing!

15 Tastes of Cuba
Recently, for a friend’s birthday, I had the pleasure of experiencing the 15 Tastes of Cuba at Cube Libre Restaurant & Rum Bar, located in Washington, D.C.. Usually, for tastings you are only allowed to choose one appetizer, one entrée, and one dessert. However, you will receive ALL the listed items on the tasting menu for only $39.95 per person!!!!
Before the appetizers, the Pressed Cuban Bread and Mango Butter (not shown) was EXTREMELY tasty!!!!! Overall, I was very pleased with the selected appetizers, entrées and dessert dishes. Also, this place has a full complete list of mojito flavored drinks. If you are interested in trying something new or in the neighborhood, I recommend the 15 Tastes of Cuba (not available Saturdays). http://cubalibrerestaurant.com/i/washington-dc/
